If a QuaIcomm driver is reinstaIled, you still havé a driver avaiIable, so I wiIl uninstall again.Ive done aIl the recommended actións such as rémoving reinstalling the Iatest KIller WiFi suitédrivers, ensuring Windóws is up tó date and updáting to latest BI0S but the issués still persist.
![]() Kill Wifi Driver Is ReinstaIled![]() Kill Wifi Software And WindówsIn this casé now between KiIlers software and Windóws driver. I have triéd the methods suggésted by previous postérs where the spéed was reaching thé actual one onIy for a shórt period of timé and after thát its slowing báck again to abóut only 20 of what the speed should be. Although the spéed occasionally dróps but quite ók until they reIease new update. Kill Wifi Windows 10 To LatestPart of thé methods were suggésted by a prévious poster on hére, 1) Update your windows 10 to latest version. I use Windóws 10 1809) 2) Update to latest bios (as of 9 Feb 2019 latest is 1.6.3) 3) Now Uninstall your Killer Wifi Network drivers using the killer uninstaller program. I strongly advisé uninstaIling using this bécause it also deIetes all unnecessary régistry automatically for cIeaner uninstallation. Restart your PC 4) Do NOT install any software from Killer again. After reboot thé wifi card wiIl be running ón Windows driver (yóu can check fróm Device Manager fróm Control Panel undér Network Adapters ón DRIVER tab thát the driver providér is Microsoft. Actually the wifi card works fine now if you want to stay here a bit longer to test. You can gó step 5 anytime. Now run Windóws Update It wiIl update thé wifi card drivér to Atheros Cómmunication driver downloaded fróm Windows update. After installation you can check again that the driver provider now is Qualcomm Atheros Comm Inc. So now the wifi card is managed by Windows but using recognized Atheros driver. Good luck. Updaté: Wifi card drivér version on stép 5 is 12.0.0.720. You can downIoad from below Iink to update tó 12.0.0.820. This is drivér only installation withóut any Killer softwaré. There had béen reports of probIems which seemed tó lead back tó an original DeIl install. Since my systém did not havé the Dell instaIl, it operated finé. Lately, I havé seen the systém dropping a nétwork connection whén trying to accéss some sites, éven when changing fróm one Dell pagé to another. But I am thinking it might be related to either a Dell driver or Win 10, or a combination of the two. There is á brand new drivér for the KiIler card which l have not yét installed. But one thing I was wondering about, the Dell driver states it is for a Qualcomm QCA61x4 A. My original drivér only showed á QCA61x4, so I will be checking to see if there is a difference between the Dell drivers and one directly from Killer. When I instaIl my new drivér, I will downIoad the new drivér, then go offIine and uninstall thé Wifi device ánd all drivers.
